About
Jakarta International Photo Festival (JIPFest) is Indonesia’s largest photography festival, organized by PannaFoto Institute. Since its first edition, JIPFest has brought together photographers, visual artists, and creative practitioners from across Indonesia and abroad, creating a dedicated space for photography to be seen, discussed, and celebrated.
Each edition is anchored by a theme that responds to current local and global issues, shaping a program that goes beyond exhibition. Visitors can expect curated photography shows, photo book displays, artist talks, workshops, and public programs — all designed to engage a wide audience, from photography professionals to first-time festival-goers.
JIPFest is committed to growing Indonesia’s photography ecosystem. The festival actively supports emerging photographers alongside established names, fosters cross-sector collaboration, and opens up conversations about the role of images in society. Over the years, it has become not just an event, but a reference point for photography culture in Southeast Asia.

PannaFoto Institute is a non-profit organization based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Founded in 2006, PannaFoto serves as a platform for education and fosters an understanding of photography through its interdisciplinary programs with the support of various institutions, including the World Press Photo Foundation in the Netherlands.
Since its establishment, PannaFoto has been conducting a series of photography workshops for young talented Indonesian photojournalists, classes for public, seminars, discussions and photo exhibitions, as well as photo books publishing.
