In its third edition, JIPFest has been selected as one of the 100 top national events in Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) 2022. KEN, a program initiated by the Indonesian Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry, aims to promote tourism destinations, increase tourist visits, and develop local potentials.
This is the first time JIPFest has been selected as a KEN event. The selection was done in stages, from provincial to national stages. The selection and curation system involved industry experts chosen by the Ministry.
The Ministry’s support to JIPFest comes at a crucial moment, when tourism and the creative economy has been hit hard by the pandemic. By being a part of KEN, JIPFest and other events from 34 provinces across Indonesia has a mission to recover tourism and creative economy in Indonesia.
This year, JIPFest takes place between 9-25 September in Blok M, South Jakarta. The festival features over 50 events at various public spaces, including public park, gallery, and theater. Over 40 guest speakers from in and outside Indonesia have confirmed their presence at the festival.
JIPFest 2022 is organized in line with the government’s health protocols. All event locations run on capacity limitation. All crews, guest stars, participants, and visitors are required to receive a minimum of 3 doses of Covid vaccine.
