On 10 January 2019, the Jakarta International Photo Festival (JIPFest) 2019 officially opens its doors for photographers to submit their works. This invitation is valid for photographers of any nationality, aged 18 years or older.
JIPFest welcomes photography and multimedia projects that are made in a diverse visual storytelling approach, including documentary, photojournalism and art projects. Each work must be in line with the festival’s theme—Identity.
All submissions will be selected and curated by a curatorial team consisting of Firman Ichsan, Jenny Smets, and Ahmad ‘Deny’ Salman. The submissions deadline is 10 March 2019. The selected works will be announced on 31 March 2019 and exhibited from 25 June-9 July 2019 in Taman Ismail Marzuki and a number of public spaces around Jakarta.
