Welcoming its second edition, JIPFest collaborates with the Goethe-Institut Indonesien to launch Road to JIPFest program series, including Tambal Lubang: Photo Curatorial Workshop. This program aims to cultivate young curators in Indonesia.

Topics discussed in this online class include the role of curator, presentation of works, to concepting and management of photo exhibitions. In the span of eight weeks, participants will also build a curatorial approach and develop the concept of exhibition curatorial projects through case studies, presentations and open discussions. This workshop also provides an opportunity for participants to realize their exhibition ideas. At the end of the program, the mentors will select a potential exhibition proposal to be executed in JIPFest 2022.

MENTOR
Boaz Levin
Boaz is an artist, writer and curator based in Berlin. In 2017, he was involved as the curator of the Biennale fur actuelle Fotografie, and this year he joins the Chennai Photo Biennale curatorial team. His written works have been published in Texte Zur Kunst, Kiosk, and Arts of the Working Class, among others. boazlevin.com

The Secret Agents
The Secret Agents are Indra Ameng and Keke Tumbuan; a duo working on photography-based art projects, good music, and other fun stuff. Since 2001, Indra has been the program coordinator of ruangrupa. Together with ruangrupa, he has participated in various international exhibitions, including the Gwangju Biennale 2002, Asia Pacific Triennial 2012, and the Sao Paolo Biennale 2014. Meanwhile, Keke started working as a photographer and exhibiting in the early 2000s. Her first solo exhibition, “You Know Me, Therefore I Am,” was held in 2004 at Ruang MES56, Yogyakarta.
