The second edition of Indonesia Photo Fair, a photography marketplace initiated by JIPFest, is scheduled for 8-20 September 2023 at Creative Hall, M Bloc Space, South Jakarta. Visitors will be able to browse through a selection of photo prints and books from 53 artists, collectives, and publishers curated by Artistic Director Windi Salomo alongside the festival team.
Indonesia Photo Fair was born out of a void within the local photography industry. While the local industry grows with the increase of practitioners and public interest in photography events, the value of photography products as collectibles still need to be boosted. The fair debuted as part of JIPFest 2022, featuring 38 artists and publishers and took place at Soup N Film, South Jakarta.
The second edition invites curator and gallerist Windi Salomo to shape the fair concept and select the participants. Participants are selected through open call and curator’s invitation to showcase diversity in approach, medium, and theme. Throughout the fair, there are scheduled Fair Talks featuring arts practitioners to discuss industry issues, as well as a platform for publishers to host book launches and artist meetups.
