Award-winning photographer Ian Teh will guide participants through the process of developing long-form documentary projects with depth, clarity, and purpose. Drawing from over two decades of experience working on complex environmental and social issues, Ian will share his approach to crafting visual narratives that are both emotionally resonant and ethically grounded. The sixth edition of JIPFest will be held on 12–21 September 2025 in Cikini, Central Jakarta. One of its programs, Indonesia Photo Fair, will take place at Galeri S. Sudjojono, Taman Ismail Marzuki. We invite photography practitioners to participate in two main programs: Photo Fair and Photo Market. Photo Fair will display photo prints and photo books. In this program, participants (individuals/collectives/organizations) submit works to be selected by the IPF committee. Selected works will be exhibited and marketed at the event. The cooperation scheme used in the fair is consignment, with a single cashier system managed by IPF. Photo Market
Fringe, one of JIPFest’s signature programs, will return for the 2025 edition. This platform invites individuals, collectives, and organizations to organize their own photography events as part of the festival. Selected events (from Indonesia and overseas) will be facilitated with venue and equipment. Both JIPFest and the event organizer will co-promote the event. In previous festival editions, Fringe participants have held photo events in the format of discussion, workshop, portfolio review, and book launch.
