With the theme COEXISTENCE, JIPFest 2025 will be a venue to explore how technology and photography influence each other and shape new realities in the digital age. This theme responds to the rapid development of technology, where photography is not just a tool for recording, but also a medium for interacting with these changes. In its fourth edition, the Indonesia Photo Fair team received 87 participants from 4 countries, who submitted their photo prints and photo books. The submitted works are then selected based on concept, medium and visual harmony. We also consider the diversity of themes offered by the artists, in the hope that visitors will get a glimpse of Indonesia’s photography industry today. As part of its mission to build a marketplace for photographers, Jakarta International Photo Festival (JIPFest) is hosting a Portfolio Review on 15 September 2025 in Jakarta. This program facilitates one-on-one meetings between photographers and industry professionals, including potential clients. These sessions offer photographers the chance to receive constructive feedback, grow their professional network, and explore opportunities for future assignments. The Portfolio Review features six experts from diverse fields—ranging from publisher, curators to scholars. Reza Saifullah & Rizka Munawarah, “Connected from Exile” The Jakarta International Photo Festival (JIPFest) 2025 curatorial team, consisting of Chelsea Chua (Singapore), Yoppy Pieter (Indonesia), and Program Director Irene Barlian (Indonesia), has selected 21 photography and multimedia projects to be presented at the festival’s Photo Exhibition, taking place from 12 to 21 September 2025. The selected projects came from an Open Call, which ran from 21 May to 21 June 2025, as well as from curators’ invitations. The final selection was made from over 100 submissions representing artists from 22 countries. This year’s theme, COEXISTENCE, offers a timely and necessary
